Owner of FBI-raided Elkhart company indicted by Grand Jury

A federal Grand Jury has indicted the owner of an Elkhart company that was raid by the FBI and Indiana State Police earlier this month.  The raid at Paragon Technologies Group took place on May 9.

FOX28 has acquired copies of the federal case documents, which were unsealed Monday after an arrest.  They accuse James LeDonne, the owner of several technology companies, in a series of frauds involving mobile fiber optic splicing units.  LeDonne is accused of getting down payments for these splicing units and not delivering them. Prosecutors allege he would declare bankruptcy to avoid paying refunds to clients.

The documents accuse him of doing this multiple times, later opening a new business with a new name.

In one case in 2012, LeDonne is accused changing the identification number of a stolen trailer made in 2007 and delivering it as a new vehicle to a customer in Georgia. Prosecutors say the customer didn't know it was stolen.

In all, LeDonne is facing 17 charges.  They are 11 counts of wire fraud, 3 counts of mail fraud, 1 count of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, 1 count of interstate transportation of stolen goods, and 1 count of bankruptcy fraud.
