Twenty-Four hour vigil honors fallen soldiers

A solemn tribute to our service men and women in Knox this Memorial Day weekend.

Volunteers are standing watch for a 24 hour vigil. They're taking turns, standing 30 minutes at a time in honor of our fallen soldiers at the VFW.

A group of young girl scouts among those who stood in the hot sun, Sunday.

Organizers say they want folks to remember what this holiday weekend is all about. "Everyone likes to enjoy their BBQ's and their trips to the lake and parties and what-not and it's important to remember why we're able to do that," says Ryan Baker with the Knox VFW.

The vigil started at noon, Sunday and goes through noon, Monday.
