Veterans remembered at Rice Cemetery

Disabled American Veterans held their annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Rice Cemetery Monday.  Dozens of people where there to honor veterans who have served and given their lives in the line of duty.

One of the spectators, Deb Mayberry said this was a special year to attend this service.  "We are part of the Patriot Guard and we do this every year," Mayberry said, "but we have a special interest this year because we are also family and friends with Jesse Williams who was killed December 17."

Congresswoman Jackie Walorski and Mayor Dick Moore were in attendance, reminding everyone the importance of remembering those of gave the ultimate sacrifice.  An honor guard concluded the ceremony with a 21 gun salute and the playing of taps.
