Multiple ATV accidents being investigated by Indiana Conservation Officers

Multiple ATV accidents occurred this weekend in Harrison and Washington Counties. Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the accidents.

The first accident involved 36-year-old Jeremy Gilbert of Salem. Officials say Gilbert lost control of his ATV and flipped over an embankment. Gilbert suffered injuries to his ankle and head. Officers say alcohol may have led to the accident.

The second accident involved 17-year-old Cody Eastridge of Elizabeth. Eastridge also lost control the vehicle and suffered a fractured skull and head trauma. Officers say the off road motorcycle he was driving was not registered.

According to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources both drivers were not wearing helmets.
