Posted:
Police tell FOX28 the body of a missing teen was found shortly after 10:30am. The family has been notified.

Rescue crews spent Monday evening looking for 17-year-old Tyler Albers who went underwater in Lake Chapin in Berrien Springs. Police were on the scene near Park Street and South Main Avenue.  We're told he was swimming with a friend and they were trying to make it to some railroad bridge supports in the lake, but he went under.  The friend made it to shore safely.

Rick Smiedendorf, Deputy Chief of Police for Berrien Springs - Oronoko Township Police Department says, "Our hearts go out to the family who was here watching the operations. We've been in communication with them."

The case remains under investigation.
