Busy Mishawaka intersection will close for construction 06-09-14

Posted:
Starting June 9th, a busy Mishawaka intersection will be closed to through traffic to begin construction of a roundabout. It's happening at Brick and Gumwood Road and will begin at 7 in the morning. Officials say the closure will last until early September.

Emergency personal and school bus dispatchers have already been notified of the closure and will be accommodated. Valentino's Photographic Studios and Suzuki Music School will remain open for business, but customers will have to access them through the south end of the project at SR 23 onto Gumwood Road. Selge Construction will also have access, at all times, to homes and businesses within the closure area.

The initial road closure from Brick Rd to the Mishawaka City limits is still in effect. There will be no through traffic, only those that live within the closure area, or have business within the closure will be permitted .People traveling to and from the Grace Baptist Church must continue to use the Brick Road access.
