Sam's Club rolls out safer credit card

The Target hacks have Sam's club coming up with better ways to keep your personal data protected.

The New York Times reports the warehouse club chain has created a security chip enabled credit card, which makes duplicating very difficult. Folks who sign up for the new credit card will also be able to create a PIN number for it, which helps prevent fraud. The new Sam's Club credit card will be available June 23rd, but only members will be able to get their hands on one. The card can also be used wherever Mastercard is accepted.

Walmart, the owner of Sam's Club, says they will be rolling out similar cards this summer.
