Indiana Lt. Gov. Sue Ellspermann promotes Hoosier agriculture

The U.S. Department of Agriculture reports Indiana not only exports nearly $4.7 billion in farm goods a year, but is also one of the top exporters of corn, pork, and soy meal. Indiana Lt. Gov. Sue Ellspermann wants to keep it that way.

She is is heading overseas to promote the Hoosier state's agriculture industry. Ellspermann says she will lead a delegation of industry leaders and commodity representatives during her trip to Asia. The delegation plans to make stops in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. They will begin their 2 week trip on Saturday. Ellspermann says she wants to build new  business relationship and let Indiana leaders explore oversea opportunities.
