The first annual Jesse's Warrior Mission Ride was held in Elkhart on Saturday afternoon. Motorcyclists gathered at the Hoosier Harley Davidson before going on a 50 mile ride.

The event was held in honor of Elkhart native Staff Sergeant Jesse Lee Williams who died in the line of duty in December 2013. All donations collected will go to Jesse's Warriors, a non-profit organization. The organization sends boxes of supplies to deployed military members, cards to families who have lost a military member, and provide assistance to current soldiers and veterans.

Debbie Passerallo is Williams' mother. She was a passenger on a motorcycle in the ride. She says this event has been in the works since February. "It's special because I know people care about our military and our vets and that's why we're doing this for those that are still out there fighting," Passerallo said.

Representative Jackie Walorski addressed the crowd before hopping on a motorcycle and joining the ride. If you would like to donate to Jesse's Warriors visit their website.
