Posted: Updated:
Normal operations are back in place at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center (SJRMC) and the Bowen Center--a mental health care center--in Plymouth after they reportedly received a "credible threat" Tuesday afternoon.

Plymouth Police said they received threat made toward the staff of the Bowen Center, stemming from an incident that occurred Tuesday morning. Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter said a family member of a suicide victim made the threat. Plymouth Police say both the Bowen Center and SJRMC were placed on lockdown as a precaution.

Pamela Henderson of SJRMC issued an alert shortly after 1:00pm Tuesday afternoon that the hospital had received a threat was "taking all necessary precautions to keep patients, staff and visitors safe," Henderson also said all patients scheduled for tests and procedures were being asked to use the main entrance of the hospital.

Plymouth Police officers were guarding both locations until the person who made the threat was contacted by police. They say the lockdown was lifted at 1:28pm.
