Hideout Lounge in Mishawaka hosts Benefit for mom killed in drunk driving accident

The Hideout Lounge in Mishawaka is hosting a benefit for the family of Amanda Ezra. She was killed last week after she hit her head on a guide wire while vomiting out of the front passenger window of a van. Kyle T. Papa was intoxicated behind the wheel at the time of the accident.

Saturday night, her friends and family gathered not only to raise money for Ezra's children and burial expenses, but to raise awareness to the dangers of drunk driving,

"I'm hoping that this event actually opens word as to drunk driving as well as help her family," says Jay Keaton, friend of Ezra.

A third of the profits at Hideout Lounge will go to Ezra's family. In addition, 12 designated drivers are provided so everyone has a safe, fun time. Next weekend friends and family plan to host another benefit for all ages at Chippewa Bowl, but details have yet to be finalized.
