SOUTH BEND - The second round of the Four Winds Invitational at Blackthorn Golf Club was played although there were some concerns about rain. Fortunately, the 18-hole round of the tournament which is a part of the Symetra Tour Road to the LPGA was played without interruption.

Coming into the round Nicole Vandermade was the leader at eight under. After Saturday's round the leader board saw a number of changes. The new leader is Lee Lopez who shot a 68 and finished the day nine under. Vandermade dropped to second place finishing eight under. She was followed by Jenni Jenq and Lindy Duncan who are both tied for third at six under.

"I putted really well. Short game was good which is important because you're not going to hit every shot perfect so it was just nice,” Lopez said.

"Played really well. Hit a lot of fairways and greens. Made some good putts and a three under with no bogeys was a really great round,” Duncan said.

"I know I had those couple of bad breaks on the front and I just told myself make as many birdies as you can and try to get back and that's just what I tried to do all day,” Vandermade said.

The final round of the tournament is set for Sunday morning with the trophy presentation set for that afternoon.
