Cass County COA is holding a 6-week program to help aging family members

Caring for an aging family member suffering from memory loss can be challenging, so the the Cass County COA is holding a special 6-week program sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging, Region IV.

The program is designed to help caregivers increase their knowledge of what happens when memory loss takes place with memory loss such as Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.

The classes are free and will be offered at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles at 31 N. St. Joseph Ave. in Niles. from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Classes are every Wednesday, from July 2 through August 6th.

Advance registration is required to ensure that there are enough materials. If needed, registration will also allow attendees the opportunity to arrange respite care for their loved one at no charge.
