Indiana Conservation Officers continued their search Wednesday for a woman who disappeared in the St. Joseph River.

Crews are still searching for Yolanda Anderson, 25, after she entered the river for an unknown reason shortly after 1:00am Tuesday morning. The initial call to emergency crews reported Anderson was in the water calling for help near the Colfax Street Bridge in South Bend.

On Wednesday, Indiana DNR officers resumed their search of the St. Joseph River at 8:00am. Officer Jonathan Boyd said crews will continue to search Wednesday until dusk, and will resume again Thursday morning if there are still no results.

Boyd says crews are using both Side Scan Sonar to search waters from the point where they believe Anderson entered the water and downstream to Michigan St. Boyd said that crews on the water scanning the surface are searching all the way from the point of entry to the state line.
