The annual Northern Indiana Ride for Kids is coming up

Posted:
Rev your engines because it's time for the 31st annual Northern Indiana Ride for Kids.

Here's everything you need to know:

WHAT: Hundreds of motorcyclists will ride together to raise money for research into pediatric brain tumors -- one of the deadliest types of childhood cancer.  The family-friendly ride travels through scenic countryside and is escorted by police officers from South Bend, and St. Joseph and LaPorte Counties.  The grand finale features interviews with local childhood brain tumor survivors and award presentations to top fundraisers.

Riders will receive special Ride for Kids incentives, and are eligible for a drawing that includes a new Honda motorcycle.  They'll also receive free beverages, along with a light breakfast and lunch.

Proceeds benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s medical research and family support programs.

WHEN: Sunday, July 13th, 2014.  Registration will start at 8am EST and will close at 9:30am EST.  Kickstands up at 10am EST sharp, rain or shine.  The stars - local children with brain tumors - are counting on riders to raise funds to help find a cure.  There is no charge to ride in a Ride for Kids event, but a minimum donation of $40 per motorcycle is encouraged.

WHERE: Pinhook Park, located at 2801 Riverside Drive in South Bend.
