CASS COUNTY, MI -

A four-year-old girl has died after a two-car collision Monday afternoon in Cass County.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office says they responded to a report of a two-car crash just after 4:00pm, just east of the US-12 and Old 205 intersection in Mason Township. A pickup driven by Edwin Powless, 73, collided with a car driven by Linda Chanthavongsavath, 25. Powless was driven to a nearby hospital while Chanthavongsavath was airlifted after being extricated from her car. Chanthavongsavath's daughter Adrianna, was driven to a nearby hospital, where she died of her injuries.

Powless and Chanthavongsavath remain hospitalized, Powless is reported to be in critical condition.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash and both drivers were wearing a seatbelt at the time. The Sheriff's Office say a child safety seat was not used in the crash.
