A Warsaw man is in custody after police arrested him at the scene of an explosion at a home where evidence of a meth lab was found inside.

Kosciusko County Sheriff deputies arrived at the scene on the south 5500 block of Lake Shore Drive West just after 1:00am Tuesday morning. They had received a 911 call about a loud explosion at a home. After investigating, police say they found items for manufacturing methamphetamine, two one-pot meth labs and evidence of scorching from an explosion.

Police identified William Daniel Kent, Jr. as the owner of the home, and arrested him. Kent, 53, faces preliminary charges of Level 3 Felony Possession of Precursors with the Intent to Manufacture a Controlled Substance/Methamphetamine. He is being held in jail on a prosecutorial hold.
