Unforgotten Souls motorcycle club drops roses for Jamie Middlebrook

New Carlisle -

As New Carlisle continues to mourn the loss of fallen firefighter, Jamie Middlebrook, others from all over Indiana are reaching out to show their support. Regional motorcycle club, Unforgotten Souls, rode in a procession by the New Carlisle Fire Department, leaving flowers and roses in Middlebrook's honor. Rider, Ron Brehmer, says they do this for fallen police officers, firefighters, military, and EMS personnel all over the state to make them feel loved.

"What we do is come out and support not only the department and community but the family to make sure they understand that  they're loved and everybody supports them," says Brehmer.

New Carlisle firefighter, Mike Tuszynski, says any kind of support is appreciated, even though the grieving process is difficult.

"Whether it's cookies, a pasta salad, soda, water, or just a word of support, it goes a very long way," says Tuszynski. "The ride was tough today, it was emotional to watch as they rode by."

Unforgotten Souls is based out of Porter and Lake counties. They formed in April of 2013, so this is just their second time doing a ride like this. Brehmer says about 150-160 motorcycles came out for the event.
