A Marshall County man was arrested early Thursday morning for drug possession after a canine search led officers to search his vehicle.

A Marshall County Sheriff's Department officer pulled over a vehicle driven by Magellan Miller shortly after 1:00am on Thursday morning. The stop was made for a moving violation, but police say an outstanding warrant from Cass County, Indiana came up when they searched Miller's records.

Police had a canine unit do a patrol of Miller's vehicle, and got indication from the dog that narcotics were inside. When police searched Miller's vehicle, they say they found what they believed to be methamphetamine and marijuana. Miller, 45, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Marijuana. His bond was set for $3,000 and a hold was placed on Miller for his Cass County warrant.
