SOUTH BEND -

A St. Joseph County teen pled guilty Monday, after prosecutors say he left the scene of fatal March accident in South Bend.

Joshua Anglemyer appeared in court and pled guilty as charged to a Felony count of Failure to Stop After a Serious Injury Accident Resulting in Death. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for Oct. 20.

Anglemyer, 18, was charged as an adult after the juvenile court Magistrate waived his case to the St. Joseph County Superior Court. He was 17-years-old at the time of the accident.

Court documents say Anglemyer was the driver of the car that fatally struck 49-year-old David Fordyce on Mar. 24 while he was trying to waive traffic away from the body of 43-year-old Michael Marks, who was killed in a separate accident. Prosecutors says Anglemyer left the scene without notifying authorities.
