Apple announces some iPhone 5s have battery issues

In the latest techie news, Apple officials say some iPhone 5s have battery issues.

Company execs say a small number of those smartphones may "suddenly experience shorter battery life or need to be charged more frequently."

If that's the case with your iPhone 5 you may be eligible for a free battery replacement.

Apple officials say only iPhone 5s sold between September of 2012 and January of last year are eligible, and only those phones that fall within a certain range of serial numbers.
