Ken Garcia joined FOX 28 in April 2007. He is thrilled to be living and working in the Michiana area. He says forecasting the weather is the best job to have because it's always changing and it's the only thing that impacts EVERYONE. He also considers himself the biggest weather nerd around.
Ken earned a Certificate in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University the summer of 2010. He is a graduate from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) with a degree in Telecommunication.
After graduating from Florida, Ken spent two years in the Rocky Mountains at KIDK in Idaho Falls, Idaho. There he worked just about every job except for sports and engineering. It was during his time out west he found his passion for weather.
Ken originally hails all the way from sunny Orlando, Florida. He misses his home state, especially when the snow starts to fall. He also misses the sun tan he once had.
In his spare time, Ken likes to workout, read, enjoy the outdoors, and keep tabs on his favorite sports teams.
