1 Melt butter; stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, then boil, without stirring for 5 minutes.
2 Remove from heat, stir in soda and vanilla.
3 Gradually pour over corn, mix well.
4 Turn into two large, shallow baking pans.
5 Bake at 250 degrees F for 1 hour, stir every 15 minutes.
6 Remove from oven, cool completely.
7 Break apart and store in tightly covered containers.
